Pat Robertson Calls For Gun Control

When Sofa agrees with Pat Robertson… I’m not sure what to say…

Its easy to post videos of outrageous things he says – which I disagree with.  Stuff like this, this, and this. In fact just check the Pat Robertson link for the collection.

Well, in response to the Florida school shooting. Here is Pat Robertson and what sounds like a call for both background checks,  and assault weapons to be banned.

Possibly the best sign of anything from this corner of America Christianity for a while?

Pat Robertson Blames Vegas Shooting on Lack of Respect for Donald Trump

Yesterday, in the wake of the Las Vegas shooting, the founder of Christian Broadcasting Network, Pat Robertson offered the following as a response to the shooting…

It seems it has a lot to do with disrespect for authority, Donald Trump, and the national anthem.

If you fancy it… the full episode of the 700 Club can be found here.

So would respect for Donald Trump make the bad stuff go away?

Pat Robertson defends Trump: Bragging about groping women is ‘macho’

It looks like the founder of Christian Broadcasting Network, Pat Robertson has said on his show that Donald Trump’s talk of sexual assault, was Donald Trump “trying to look like he’s macho”.

Now I cant claim to be an expert in what “macho” really looks like, but I’m fairly certain that it isn’t talking about grabbing women by their genitals.

I do not understand how Donald Trump still appears to have the general support of the American Evangelical vote, from the other side of the pond, a Christian vote for Trump appears to be more connected to political ideals then the words of Jesus.

Please feel free to explain to me how and why Christians vote for Trump, because I simply don’t get it.

Buying ‘by computer’ is the ‘Mark of the Beast’?

It seems that American-Christian-TV-person Pat Robertson has warned that the government is pushing technology that would force every financial transaction to be controlled “by computer,” and it could be the “Mark of the Beast” as described in Revelation.

According to rawstory.com

So-called “privacy expert” Katherine Albrecht told CBN that radio frequency identification technologies — or RFID — had “biblical implications.” “There will be a time when humanity will be forced to take a mark,” she said. “And that mark will be on the right hand or the forehead. It is the number 666.” But Robertson worried that it was not just RFID that was a sign of the End Times, it was all electronic financial transactions. “We don’t want to scare people,” he insisted. “The times going to come, we’re not going to have any cash. We don’t need cash.”

An interesting side point, is that if you want to become a member of “The 700 club” (The TV show that Pat Robertson presents), then you would indeed have to make an electronic financial transaction in order to join.
