The Second Coming (has been cancelled).

Well. A few weeks back Sofa confirmed that no, it wasn’t a joke. There was a comic called “The Second Coming“, that was indeed happening, and it was about:

Witness the return of Jesus Christ, as He is sent on a most holy mission by God to learn what it takes to be the true messiah of mankind by becoming roommates with the world’s favorite savior: the all-powerful super hero Sun-Man, the Last Son of Krispex! But when Christ returns to Earth, he’s shocked to discover what has become of his gospel—and now, he aims to set the record straight.

DC Website

There was… going to be a comic called The Second Coming. According to The Guardian, it has been cancelled following a petition on the CitizenGo website that reached 200,000-signatures, which called on DC Comics to pull the comic. It felt like an almost controversial stance at the time, but Sofa felt curious about the comic, suggesting that instead of burning heathens, that we should look forward to what it had to say. Particularly in regards to “what has become of his gospel“.

While it looks like the comic still may happen, it will more than likely be released on a less mainstream label then the non mainstream DC label it was originally intended for. I’d suggest that this means the The Second Coming comic will still be out there, but the opportunity for a conversation about it will be less.
