For the last few years, The Meaningful Chocolate Company have been creating whats called “The Real Easter Egg”. Designed to promote Fairtrade chocolate and the original Easter story, The Real Easter Eggs can now be found in Tesco stores around the country during a time of year which seems to be all about chocolate and Easter. I guess it was only a matter of time until “The Real Advent Calendar” was announced.
According to the website:
The Real Advent Calendar is a new and fun way for parents, grandparents and Godparents to share the Christmas story.
Behind each of the 25 windows there is a Fairtrade chocolate star and a few words from the Christmas story. Behind the final window there is a 24-page Christmas story booklet to read, keep and enjoy.
So not cheap, but you get a little booklet, and possibly actually decent chocolate on a daily basis.
Which is obviously the important thing about Advent.
More information can be found at realadvent.co.uk.
Whilst we aware its still September it has been over a month since I first saw Christmas chocolates in the shops… so I guess I dont feel to bad to be posting about Christmas already!
