1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory
in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[c]
One clear evening.
I’m going to get away.
Not far.
Maybe just hop on a train, and take advantage of the fact that Devon has random train stations in the middle of no where.
I might just take a walk ten minutes in a random direction, walk away from the any sight of any civilization.
I might just find a spot in the darkness, and look up.
I may forget about that book I still haven’t fetched from the loft, that extra job to be done in the nursery, and why I STILL haven’t read that book. For a second I might stop wondering why I still haven’t chucked the broken Quick Cup that sits in the kitchen next to our working kettle. I may just look up, and be lost in the midst of the millions of stars above. For a second I might just feel alone in the universe, and wonder if God really cares about the small things that play on my mind.
Maybe he does?
